Big Wig Tacos & Burritos and River North Hospitality Group announced that Chicago Bulls star Wendell Carter Jr. has joined their team as an equity partner and an investor in the company.
River North Hospitality Group opened its first Big Wig Tacos & Burritos location in River North on May 15, 2017. Group founder Jose M. Estrada looks forward to bringing his take on classic and fresh Mexican street food to more neighborhoods in Chicago soon.
Wendell first met Big Wig proprietor Jose Estrada in 2019 picking up tacos for dinner. “I’ve been a fan and customer of Big Wig since my rookie year in Chicago,” says Wendell Carter. “Big Wig has fresh and delicious food options and I’m thrilled to join their team.”

In addition to this exciting partnership, Big Wig Tacos & Burritos soft-opened its newest location on June 12, 2020 at 2490 N Milwaukee Ave.
The Logan Square location features their signature Mexican street food menu that emphasizes premium ingredients and maximum freshness. Guests will see the same delicious mix of tacos, nachos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and bowls, along with familiar sides like guacamole and chips, rice and beans, and more as offered at its River North store. Expedited service continues to stay top of mind with the team working on speed to get their quality food to customers even faster.
