Billy Sims Barbecue has opened their newest location in Coweta, Oklahoma amid the CoVid-19 pandemic with an outpouring of support from the local community.
“The location had originally planned to open pre-pandemic,” says Jeff Jackson, founder and CEO of Billy Sims Barbecue, “However, with a strong team, new drive thru and careful planning we opened the store Friday, April 17th and have seen tremendous success in this revised opening. The city of Coweta and surrounding areas have come out to show their support during this unprecedented time and we are thrilled to a part of this community and we are looking forward to a Grand Opening celebration with Billy Sims in attendance when it is possible.”
“Opening the new Coweta location, especially during unprecedented times with such success and support is something I’m very excited about,” Sims says. “We’ve got a fun, family oriented, tailgate kind of atmosphere here and some of the tastiest and most tender brisket and ribs around. It’s truly a celebration of good food and good football – a place to kick back and enjoy yourself.”
The Coweta location is expected to open its dining room sometime in May in accordance with local and state guidelines. Local franchisee, Ryan Gray is excited to open in the Coweta market, “The local officials and residents of Coweta have shown us a lot of support, and their enthusiasm motivated us to go ahead and open this new location during this time even though we were not able to have the dining room open for business. They have been incredible, and we are looking forward to being a continued partner in the local community.”
