Biscuitville Fresh Southern announced the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA) has named Kathy Baize, an Assistant Manager at Biscuitville’s W. Dixie Drive location in Asheboro, a 2024 Star of the Industry.

Annually, NCRLA recognizes two recipients from across the state in the Restaurant Employee of the Year category, evaluating nominees based on their outstanding leadership qualities, awe inspiring community outreach and exceptional service and character. Winners will be honored at the NCRLA Stars of the Industry gala at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham on Feb. 12.

After joining the Biscuitville team at the W. Dixie Drive location more than a year and a half ago, Kathy quickly made a name for herself among coworkers and guests, cementing herself as a “bright spot” in the days of those around her.

“Our Biscuitville family knew Kathy was special the moment she joined our team, so it’s wonderful to see her talents be recognized by the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association,” says Biscuitville Store Operator Jason Towery. “Kathy’s dedication to Biscuitville shines through everyday, whether she’s serenading a guest with ‘Happy Birthday’ or bringing in thoughtful gifts for her coworkers.”

This is the third year in a row that a Biscuitville employee has been named a Star of the Industry by NCRLA. In 2022, NCRLA honored Shift Leader Bonnie Davis (3209 Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro), and in 2023, Assistant Manager Tiffany Oates (1312 S. Main Street in Laurinburg) was honored.
