On Tuesday, July 28, 2015, Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP) will open its doors in Towson, Maryland, serving up the specialty burgers, french fries, and milkshakes that the restaurant is known for. Located in Towson Square, this location marks the 19th BBP outpost in the country. BBP presents an array of unique burgers inspired by Chef Bobby Flay’s various travels throughout America and his love of comfort food, all served in a casual, vibrant setting.
Each burger at BBP pays tribute to a different American city that highlights the regional culture and flavor of that place. Cooked to order and made with high-quality ingredients, burger lovers can choose from signatures such as the Philadelphia Burger with Provolone cheese, griddled onions, and hot peppers; Carolina Burger with smoked American cheese, green onion slaw, and mustard BBQ sauce; Dallas Burger, a spice crusted burger with coleslaw, Monterey Jack, BBQ sauce, and pickles; and the Brunch Burger with smoked bacon and American cheese, topped with a fried egg. Patrons can kick it up a notch and get any burger Crunchified, by topping any BBP burger with crisp chips at no additional cost. BBP’s specialties are the Crunchburger with double American cheese and potato chips, and the Crunch Salad with chopped vegetables, romaine, crispy tortillas, white Cheddar cheese cubes, and balsamic dressing. For an additional dose of bold flavor, diners can choose from BBP’s selection of house-made sauces, including Chipotle Ketchup, BBP Burger Sauce, and Jalapeño Hot Sauce.
On the side, Buttermilk Onion Rings and hand-cut french fries are served fresh out of the fryer with dipping sauces like BBP Fry Sauce, a blend of mayonnaise, roasted red peppers, chipotle peppers, and spices. An homage to childhood memories, BBP presents a variety of milkshakes and malts to round out the meal. Fruit flavors such as Coconut, Mango, and Blueberry-Pomegranate, as well as classic flavors like Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate, and Black and White are all available.
Upon entering, diners are transported into a relaxed yet convivial atmosphere. With 65 seats, including a 42-seat counter and 24-seat outdoor terrace, BBP is a nod to a classic burger joint, emblazoned with fiery red, bold yellow, and vibrant green hues. The restaurant is outfitted with a Corian-coated, serpentine dining counter with green leather seats and a dramatic, ribbon-like light fixture with brown, orange, and yellow stripes. A floor-to-ceiling feature wall surrounding the kitchen is a mosaic of wood, bamboo, and bright green, brown, and orange glass tiles. Photographs of farm-fresh ingredients adorn BBP’s walls.
