Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc., operator and franchisor of Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits for more than a quarter century, recently broke ground on its 22nd Charlotte area location. This new Bojangles’ will be located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The new Bojangles’ location will be constructed by S&R Development Co., LLC in conjunction with ESD Architects & Interior Design. This new store marks the first use of Bojangles’ “hybrid” store design, and when complete, will be one of the chains’ largest locations at over 4,100 square feet. The hybrid store design brings together the most beneficial design elements garnered from other Bojangles’ locations and creates a comfortable and convenient quick-service restaurant atmosphere. It will be highlighted by a new décor package featuring dark wood tones, offset by light colored tiles as well as stainless accents and textured wallpaper.
One of the most unique elements of this store design may be in what is “old,” as opposed to what is new. The landscape plan for this Bojangles’ location calls for two existing willow oak trees at the front of the site to remain. The two large trees, both estimated at more than 75 years old will play an integral role in the exterior look and feel of the store and highlight the fact that the location was developed by maintaining its natural beauty.
