Charleston, South Carolina–based K-BO Inc. is satisfying Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, residents’ craving for Bojangles’ “Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits” with the grand opening of its newest location at 1664 Highway 17. Situated at the intersection of Mathis Ferry Road and Highway 17, the restaurant caters to Bojangles’ fans at one of Mt. Pleasant’s most heavily trafficked areas. The new Bojangles’ features drive-thru and in-store dining, beginning with breakfast and continuing through dinner late into the evening. Spanning more than 3,600 square feet and seating up to 116 guests, the new location carries on the Bojangles’ warm, friendly tradition in an upscale casual-dining environment.

“We are thrilled to be growing throughout the Charleston region and into Mt. Pleasant. Bojangles’ offers a dining experience unlike any other restaurant in the quick-serve chicken category,” says Kevin Archer, who co-owns K-BO Inc. with his wife Leslie. “In addition to serving Bojangles’ distinctive array of chicken dishes, fresh buttermilk biscuits, and fixin’s, our service standards will win over our guests from the moment they walk in the restaurant or visit our drive thru.”

Decorative elements such as the exterior’s stonework and brick paver patio combined with mahogany wood throughout the interior distinguish the Mt. Pleasant location from any other Bojangles’. The design enhancements reflect Bojangles’ shift toward fast-casual dining, blending quick service with a casual-dining atmosphere. Plus, at the drive thru, Bojangles’ is setting the industry standard, turning orders routinely in less than a minute.

“Given our location, Bojangles’ relishes the opportunity to serve local families, morning commuters, and lunch crowds from nearby businesses,” Archer says.  “We hope to create a bond with our guests that will certainly grow stronger as they experience the food, fun, and service in our modern, spacious restaurant.”

The Archers have owned and operated Bojangles’ locations in the Carolinas for more than 20 years. Mt. Pleasant’s Bojangles’ is the third that K-BO Inc. has opened in the past 16 months, and represents the Archers’ seventh Charleston-area location. The couple recently opened Bojangles’ restaurants in James Island and Johns Island, and purchased existing restaurants in Charleston, Goose Creek, and Summerville. There are now a total of 10 Bojangles’ in the Charleston area. The Archers plan to open additional locations in the region during the next 12–18 months.
