Bojangles’, the rapidly growing quick-service restaurant franchise known for its seasoned and marinated chicken, made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits, Dirty Rice, and Legendary Iced Tea, will open a new restaurant at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Concourse T in August 2013. The location will be owned and operated by Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world’s leading airport food service and retail companies.

We are proud to be working together with a proven, global foodservice operator like Delaware North to directly offer Bojangles' famous chicken, biscuits and ice tea,” says Eric Newman, executive vice president for Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc. “Many travelers in the Atlanta airport are already longtime Bojangles’ fans but Hartsfield is a cross-roads of the country, and we hope that others will be excited to try Bojangles’ food for the first time.”

The new airport location will employ 50 local residents and will feature Bojangles’ proprietary, made-from-scratch fare, offering a flavor profile unlike anything in the airport and breakfast served all day. The menu features one-of-a kind flavors, including fresh, never frozen, hand-breaded chicken, buttermilk biscuits, sandwiches, flavorful fixin’s, and Legendary Iced Tea steeped the old-fashioned way.

We’re excited to bring the signature taste of Bojangles’ chicken and biscuits to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport,” says Matt King, president of Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services. “With their major growing brand presence, the popular chicken and biscuit restaurant has a very strong fan base, and they will be a delicious addition to Concourse T this year.”

After signing a record number of deals for franchises in traditional, free-standing spots throughout the Southeast, Bojangles’ is also rapidly expanding its presence in non-traditional venues such as airports, colleges, and universities, train stations, military bases, and convention centers, along with multiple entertainment arenas, football stadiums, and NASCAR speedways. Some current non-traditional venues Bojangles’ operates in include Charlotte Douglas International Airport, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Greensboro, Charlotte Convention Center, Union Station in Washington, D.C., and later this year at the Norfolk Naval Base.
