Bonchon has entered into a partnership with DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery to guests ordering through bonchon.com and the Bonchon USA app. This makes the ordering and delivery process of its popular double-fried chicken wings and other Korean specialties more convenient for customers to enjoy. It is currently in test at select locations in TX, CA and NY. The nationwide launch will be this spring across all Bonchon locations.

The partnership is a test of delivery service through Bonchon’s proprietary ordering channels, Bonchon.com and the Bonchon USA app, using the DoorDash Drive white-label fulfillment platform.  This integration gives guests a seamless, positive ordering and delivery experience all within the Bonchon platforms.

“Partnering with DoorDash allows us to enhance the Bonchon guest experience from beginning to end – which is the ultimate goal,” says Flynn Dekker, CEO Bonchon. “Enabling in-app delivery allows us to bring a seamless ordering experience to our loyal guests and reduces delivery costs for both them and our franchise partners. This is another way to make ordering and delivery more convenient and we are already seeing rapid guest adoption of this new service.”

The new DoorDash partnership comes just before the growing restaurant brand plans to debut its new fast-casual model in Dallas, Texas this February, incorporating a new interior design, new service model, and streamlined menu. The new model will apply to select new franchise openings and new corporate restaurants and will strengthen Bonchon’s ability to continue to grow online ordering, which currently accounts for over 50 percent of its current sales. In addition to offering delivery through DoorDash Drive, Bonchon offers curbside pickup, another enhancement to the online ordering process.
