Bowl of Heaven, the fast casual serving up açaí bowls, smoothies, and cold pressed juices, announced the signing of a new multiunit franchise deal with an existing franchisee for Southern California and Las Vegas.

Franchisee Bill Wortman, who worked with Fransmart’s West Coast vice president of sales, Al Rowe, on closing his deals, originally signed two five-unit deals, one for each of his territories, in April 2014.  He proceeded to sign a deal for an additional 30 units in July, for territories including Orange County, San Diego, and Los Angeles, California.

Bowl of Heaven has been working with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers & Fries, to expand their growing footprint.

Although Wortman’s move is unprecedented for the Bowl Of Heaven franchise system thus far, it comes as no surprise that franchisees are eager to acquire as much territory as possible. “In regards to the younger brands in Fransmart’s portfolio, Bowl Of Heaven has seen some of the strongest traction and most deal closings of any that I’ve worked with,” says Rowe, who has been a representative of the brand since it first partnered with Fransmart.

Bowl of Heaven is a fast-casual concept as it is poised to overtake various segments in the space including healthy meal replacements, clean eating, and cold pressed juicing.
