BricknFire Pizza Co., the popular mobile pizza oven operating in the Greater Baltimore area, has opened its first physical location inside the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards. The grand opening was held July 16.  BricknFire opens its new space following owner Megan Lanasa winning the Marriott’s 2015 Canvas program, which earned her the rights to the space and $75,000 in startup funds.

Conceived by Lanasa, a Catonsville, Maryland native, BricknFire began in 2013 with a passion for cooking with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. BricknFire at Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards will serve original, artisanal Neapolitan-style pizza, and the menu will feature classics such as Margherita and Soppressata pizza, as well as a selection of seasonal choices. The restaurant will also serve a variety of salads and sandwiches.

BricknFire, located across from Oriole Park at Camden Yards, is a 500-square-foot space adjacent to the hotel’s lobby and includes its own dedicated entrance leading in from the hotel’s porte-cochere. BricknFire’s interior space features an industrial rustic design concept, complete with stainless steel appliances and slate serving boards. Seating is available both inside the restaurant and in the hotel’s Greatroom, which sits just across from a beer wall stocked with local craft brews.

“The opportunity to grow my business through the Marriott CANVAS program has been an absolute dream come true,” Lanasa says. “Marriott’s Canvas program has given me the opportunity and freedom to develop both creatively and professionally by lending me expertise and resources as I work to execute my concept.”

The Marriott’s Canvas program was designed to incubate restaurant entrepreneurship at select Marriott Hotels around the world. BricknFire was selected as the winner for the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards by a committee of local restaurateurs, hotel owners, and industry experts.
