Brink’s U.S., the leading provider of secure logistics and cash management solutions, received a Retailer Choice Award in CSP magazine’s eighth annual Best New Products Contest for its CompuSafe Vanguard unit.

The nominees were selected by CSP magazine from 34 different categories, and convenience stores selected the winners through online voting. The contest featured products released between Aug. 1, 2010, and July 31, 2011.

“Brink’s goal is to help both our banking and commercial customers create a smarter supply chain,” says Jim Poteet, senior vice president, business solutions, for Brink’s U.S. “Our focus is on containing costs, reducing risk, and increasing visibility for every payment and transaction.”

The CompuSafe Vanguard unit was designed to make Brink’s premier cash management solution available to businesses with cash deposits of less than $1,000 per day.

“Brink’s knows how critical information is in helping organizations optimize their cash flow and manage lines of credit,” Poteet says. “The CompuSafe Vanguard unit provides online reporting at the store and corporate level, helping store managers balance cash drawers faster and giving corporate accounting visibility into each store’s cash flow.”

“Even convenience stores that don’t have large volumes of cash transactions need a way to secure cash faster and keep it safe from theft,” says Steve Bozeman, vice president, product strategy, for Brink’s U.S. “CompuSafe Vanguard protects cash from internal theft, by depositing it at the point of sale for better tracking and accountability.”

The complete list of Best New Products is featured in CSP magazine’s January 2012 issue.
