Bubbakoo’s Burritos recently welcomed Gus DiGiovanni as Vice President of Operations and Development.

DiGiovanni is a seasoned franchise veteran with more than 27 years of experience in the food & beverages industry. Prior to joining Bubbakoo’s, he spent nearly nine years managing 500 franchise stores as Director of Operations for Dunkin’ Brands. He also previously held simialr operations and development positions with Friendly’s Ice Cream and Bertucci’s.

“Welcoming an industry leader of Gus’ caliber to our executive team is a testament to the strength of our brand and proven franchise system,” says Paul Altero, co-founder and CEO of Bubbakoo’s. “As we continue to rapidly expand our national footprint, I am confident that Gus’ experience and knowledge will be pivotal in driving our expansion strategy in the years to come.”

Since joining Bubbakoo’s, DiGiovanni has been tasked with supporting the areas of Operations Management, Strategic and Financial Planning, Business Development, Real Estate Development Planning, Process Improvement, Cost Reduction, and Budgeting. In addition, he works cross functionally with other departments such as Marketing, Product, Technology, and Construction.

He has already grown the Bubbakoo’s store base to 60 stores in eight states.

“No other restaurant, fast-casual chain, or taco stand offers quite the variety, quality, or the unique hybrid skater-surf atmosphere that can be found at Bubbakoo’s,” says DiGiovanni. “I am thrilled to join Bubbakoo’s at this point in the company’s life cycle and look forward to playing a part in the company’s continued success.”

DiGiovanni joins Bubbakoo’s at a time of rapid expansion for the New Jersey-based eatery. This year, Bubbakoo’s made its debut in Entrepreneur magazine’s annual Franchise 500 ranking of the top franchise opportunities and currently has more than 30 restaurants open and operating in four states. In addition, development deals have been signed for nearly 30 additional locations throughout New Jersey, New York, California, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Today, there are more than 60 restaurants either open or under development across eight states.
