Bubbakoo’s Burritos, a fast-casual brand, just launched a new concept called Toss’ em Wing Factory. Bubbakoo’s founders Bill Hart and Paul Altero developed a virtual concept that would fit seamlessly into their restaurants.
Offering three styles of wings, traditional, boneless, and meatless which is a breaded cauliflower, customers can choose from 12 sauces ranging from “not spicy” to “really spicy” on their website, as well as two dry rub options.
Toss ’em Wing Factory is tossing up more than just wings, they also have entered into the chicken sandwich wars with four different options. The Classic, The Nashville, The Buffalo and The Chicken Bacon Ranch.
Plans started in December 2020 to develop the new brand and to start converting corporate locations to test the concept. Toss ‘em has since quietly opened all 10 corporate locations and 15 franchise stores. All Bubbakoo’s franchise partners have the option to add the virtual brand to their restaurants.
“We realized that the third-party platforms had room for more options, and we wanted to create an exciting brand that caught the customers interest. Wings and chicken sandwiches were in high demand and we knew that we could raise the bar in that space. Toss ‘em has given our franchise partners a boost in sales with minimal investment and very simple conversions to the kitchens,” says Bill Hart, Co-Founder of Bubbakoo’s Burritos and Toss ‘em Wing Factory.
“Bill and I always wanted to move into a ghost concept. It is a way to build sales by not expanding our physical footprint or by adding heavy manpower. Chicken wings are a hot concept right now and we wanted in on that space and so far, so good, it’s working,” says Paul Altero, Co-founder of Bubbakoo’s Burritos and Toss’em Wing Factory.
