Burger 21, an award-winning “beyond the better burger” fast casual franchise, announced its expansion into New Mexico with the addition of an Albuquerque location set to open this October. The growing brand now has 22 open locations and 15 in development across 11 states.

“We’re excited to be in Albuquerque and look forward to sharing our better burger experience and diverse menu with new guests,” says Mark Johnston, co-founder and president of Burger 21. “Burger lovers in Albuquerque will soon have 21 different burgers to choose from as we continue to grow across the U.S. and raise the bar for our industry so that everyone can find their favorites.”

The new location is in the Winrock Town Center at 2100 Louisiana Boulevard in Albuquerque. The restaurant is 2,500 square feet with an additional 800 square feet of outdoor patio space and is owned by Chris Zalesiak.

The Tampa-based fast casual offers guests one of the most diverse chef-inspired menus in the country with a variety of beef and non-beef burger creations including the Loaded Spud, Tex-Mex Haystack, Chicken Parmesan and Spicy Thai Shrimp burger. Additionally, all Burger 21 locations offer fresh salads, hand-crafted shakes, hand-breaded chicken tenders, a sauce bar with 10 sauces, 5 unique to Burger 21, and a variety of gluten free options.
