Burger 21 an award-winning, “beyond the better burger” fast casual franchise, announced today its second restaurant in Georgia will open in Buckhead on Monday, July 27 in the Chastain Square Shopping Center. To celebrate, the restaurant will donate 10 percent of proceeds from the first week of business to CURE Childhood Cancer. Additionally, the fast casual franchise will be giving away Burger 21 swag bags to the first 100 guests on opening day.

The new restaurant is locally owned by new Burger 21 franchisee Chris Bastecki and three of his six children: Chris, Alyssa, and Briana, who will manage the restaurant’s daily operations. Bastecki is a seasoned multi-unit restaurant owner of six Jimmy John’s locations in Gwinnett County that he and his three oldest children own and operate. The family recently signed a lease agreement for a second Burger 21 restaurant in Kennesaw, which is slated to open next year and plans to develop a third restaurant of the better burger concept in the market over the next few years.

“We spent nearly 18 months searching for a new franchise partner. After dining at Burger 21 for the first time and becoming obsessed with the delicious flavor profiles of the food, we knew that the brand was the right choice for us,” says Chris Bastecki. “Burger 21 has become our family’s favorite place to eat and we are confident the rest of Atlanta will enjoy the experience as much as we do.”

In addition to offering guests a variety of chef-inspired beef and non-beef burger creations, like the Tex-Mex Haystack, Spicy Thai Shrimp, Black Bean, and Mediterranean Chicken, the Buckhead location will also offer fresh salads, hand-crafted shakes, a gluten-free menu, as well as craft beer and wine by the glass.

Highlights of Burger 21 Buckhead include:

  • 35–45 new team members hired in Buckhead
  • Approximately 3,133 square feet
  • Seating for 131 customers inside the restaurant
  • Outdoor seating for 15 customers
