Burger City Grill Opens in Torrance with Burger Giveaway

On March 27, Burger City Grill in Torrance celebrated its official Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting hosted by the Torrance Chamber of Commerce. The general public was invited to join in on the celebration and the first 50 guests who were in attendance won Free Burgers for a Year. This massive giveaway had guests lined up as early as 4 a.m. Monday morning to be one of the first 50 in line and patiently awaited until the doors opened at 11am.

"We're thrilled to be welcomed to the Torrance community and within the South Bay. I've grown up here and have made so many connections with the community. I look forward to giving back with good food and future partnerships with schools, businesses and other opportunities. The community has really welcomed us with arms wide open," says Burger City Grill president and founder, Efthemios Tsiboukas.

Simply straightforward and clean, the Burger City Grill menu consists of eight signature Burgers, three homemade Sides, free-style drinks from Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine, three flavors of Hand Scooped Shakes, as well as local craft Beer and Wine.

Starting at the heart of the menu, every burger is prepared with premium Certified Angus Beef, sandwiched between a fluffy signature brioche bun, which is baked using an exclusive B.C.G. recipe. From there, seven different Burgers are offered up with authentic, yet one-of-a-kind ingredients, beginning with the famous Maui topped with zesty teriyaki glaze and grilled fresh pineapples. Deliciously classic, The Schroomer is a combination of grilled mushrooms and onions, while The Yorker is loaded with New York-style pastrami. For those who prefer their burgers with avocado, there is The Santa Monica, which is topped with gooey American cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, dill pickle chips, red onions and avocado. For those who want to add heat, there is the Miami Spice with Applewood smoked bacon, cherry pepper relish, red onions, Gouda cheese and B.C.G. spread. There is also the tasty and indulgent Cabo which is stacked with beef chorizo, grilled jalapenos, red onions, pepper jack cheese and B.C.G. spread or the City Slicker topped with Applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, Gouda cheese, BBQ sauce, and B.C.G. spread. For the meat-lover in all of us, the Austin Crunch is made with fresh house-made all meat chili, red onions, cheddar cheese and topped with crunchy potato chips.

While each burger comes with fresh lettuce, tomato and onions, a few delightful add-ons are available, including crispy Applewood Smoked Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Avocado, Hand-sliced Mushrooms, Seasonal Pineapple, Cherry Pepper Relish, and Grilled Jalapeno.

Three Sides to pair with these mouthwatering masterpieces are the “show-stopping” hot and crispy fries, and the homemade B.C.G. Fries topped with Applewood smoked Bacon, Cheese, Grilled Onions with your choice of B.C.G. spread or house ranch.  Another favorite is the Sloppy Fries topped with homemade chili and cheddar cheese. For those looking to kick it up a notch, the C.P.R. Fries are topped with Applewood smoked bacon, cheese, cherry pepper relish with B.C.G. spread and a choice of cheese.

Liquid refreshments at Burger City Grill come from Coca Cola Freestyle Machine, as well as a small list of Beer and Wine selections. Also available, there is Hand-Scooped Shakes made with award winning ice cream, hand-scooped and topped with fresh whipped cream.

For those who prefer stronger libations, Beer comes in the form of six rotating drafts.
