Liberty Restaurant Group (LRG) is proud to announce the launching of the Fall Fundraiser – Burger King Scholarship Program. The scholarship recipients are within the areas of St. Peters, St. Charles, and St. Louis counties, Missouri, and Belleville, Illinois.

The fall fundraiser comes less than a month after LRG’s successful charitable effort that raised funds, earned a healthy amount of national media attention (including a Fox2 news morning feature), and secured $11,000 worth of public service announcements to support No Kid Hungry – Share Our Strength’s weeklong national campaign to end childhood hunger in America by 2015.

This annual fall fundraiser raises money for scholarships through the sale of a special coupon book that is available to customers by visiting one of the participating locations. For each $1
donation made at a Burger King participating restaurant, guests will receive a coupon booklet containing seven free Burger King value menu-sized fry coupons and one small Coca-Cola brand drink product coupon.

The event runs from Oct. 1 – 31 at participating in-store Burger King restaurants, and coupons may be redeemed from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2010.

“We recognize the concern from families about the rising cost of college so we have purposely selected students who are highly motivated and who have already proved their ability to do well academically. Last year, we awarded $7,000 in scholarships in the form of $1,000 scholarships to seven recipients. This year we will award 10 $1,000 scholarships for a total of $10,000. This is another way for us all to help invest in the future of our employees and your community,” says Kelly Hasty of Liberty Restaurant Group.
