Burger King Holdings, Inc. announced today that its subsidiary, BK Asiapac, PTE. LTD., has awarded exclusive development rights for Hong Kong and Macau to a fully owned subsidiary of North Asia Strategic Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The first Burger King restaurant in downtown Hong Kong is scheduled to open by December 2007.

“We are excited to expand the Burger King brand into downtown Hong Kong, adding to our existing locations at the airport and The Peak, one of Hong Kong’s most-popular tourist attractions,” says Peter Tan, president of Burger King Asia Pacific. “Hong Kong consumers have embraced Burger King, and we look forward to bringing the unique taste of the flame-grilled Whopper sandwich to the rest of Hong Kong and Macau.”
