Miami, FL—May 23, 2002—Burger King Corp announced the appointment of Paul Novak to the role of executive VP, reporting directly to the company's CEO, John Dasburg. In addition to his vice-president duties, Burger King said Novak will also head franchisee operations and serve as the chief development officer for U.S. operations. . Novak, who joined Burger King in May 2001 as senior VP and chief development officer, replaces Kim Lopdrup who intends to pursue new opportunities.
