California Tortilla's New Burrito is Super. Really.

    Overdid it on eggnog and Christmas cookies this December? Good news: California Tortilla is offering a healthy new option to help ring in the New Year that’s as delicious as it is nutritious. Introducing the Super Food Burrito, a protein-packed menu option that’s available starting January 4 for a limited time only.

    Made with the customer’s choice of all-natural, GMO-free mesquite chicken breast or farm-fresh vegetables, the Super Food Burrito is wrapped in a whole-wheat tortilla and filled with Mexican quinoa (with black beans, corn, jalapeños, and salsa), Feta cheese, Roma tomatoes, and fresh Hass avocado slices. It’s then drizzled with house-made Avocado-Honey Vinaigrette and topped with slaw made from yet another super food, kale. The Super Food Burrito will be offered for $7.39 at most locations. And for customers watching their carbs, the Super Food Burrito is also available as a bowl.

    California Tortilla is always looking for ways to incorporate fresh, nutrient-packed ingredients into its reimagined Mexican menu; each June, the fast-casual chain devotes an entire month to celebrating the avocado, partnering with the California Avocado Commission to highlight the benefits of the superfruit.
