Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop’s Vice President, CIO, and CMO Jason Smylie received his Certified Franchise Executive designation today by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives. Upon completing a comprehensive course of study in franchising offered by the institute, Smylie was honored at The International Franchise Association’s annual conference in Capriotti’s headquartered in Las Vegas.
Jason Smylie became the executive vice president, chief information officer, and chief marketing officer of Capriotti’s in 2008. His association with the award-winning sub shop began when he founded and served as chief operating officer of Damp Industries Inc., which owned three Capriotti’s franchises in the Las Vegas area. Receiving his bachelor's degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Smylie went on to attain his master's degree in business administration from the same university.
“I am honored to be recognized as a CFE, and it is even more meaningful to be able to celebrate this distinction with my friends, family, and colleagues in Las Vegas,” says Smylie. “I hope to bring the vast knowledge I gained throughout this program back to Capriotti’s to better serve in my position, as well as expand the Capriotti’s brand.”
