Captain D’s LLC, the leading fast-casual seafood restaurant known for serving freshly prepared seafood for more than four decades, is helping consumers stick to their healthy New Year’s resolutions by reintroducing its Captain’s D-Lites menu featuring entrées under 500 calories. Available now through January 24, Captain D’s is making it easy for customers to maintain their wellness commitments in 2016 with nutritious and flavor-packed menu items such as Blackened Tilapia and Lemon Pepper White Fish.

“At Captain D’s, we believe that eating healthy doesn’t have to mean eating tasteless boring food or that it should break the bank to get a meal that’s good for you,” says Jason Henderson, head chef and vice president of product innovation at D’s. “We take our customers’ needs to heart and aim to create dishes rich in flavor and nutrients while offering a variety of meals at an affordable price.”

All entrées from Captain D’s D-Lites menu are served on a bed of rice with steamed broccoli and green beans or a side salad, with choices including Blackened Tilapia, Wild Alaskan Salmon, Lemon Pepper White Fish, Shrimp Skewers, and Surf & Turf. Customers are given the option to add any seasoning and can also order the above as an entrée salad.

“The addition of our grilled menu, which we launched last year, has given us the ability to refresh our D-Lites menu with the addition of salads and flavor options,” Henderson adds.

With 515 restaurants in 26 states, Captain D’s is the fast-casual seafood leader and No. 1 seafood franchise in America ranked by average unit volume. Captain D’s recently unveiled a new design featuring a vibrant coastal atmosphere and upgraded the dining experience with new plate ware and silverware. Captain D’s new menu, featuring several new items, is brought to life with upgraded menu boards and also features several new kids’ meal offerings. With these efforts, Captain D’s has remained true to what it does best: serving high-quality seafood with warm hospitality at an affordable price.
