The introduction coincides with the announcement of Captain D’s new $4.99 Full Meal Deals, including D’s famous catfish and butterfly shrimp. Starting their never-ending quest for Captain D’s famous food, the D-Gulls won’t stop for anything until they get a “taste of the coast.” A recent interview with Dave and Desmond behind the scenes of their new Captain D’s commercials tells the story of how their incomparable craving for Captain D’s began.

Dave and Desmond are stopping at nothing to get their beaks on Captain D’s latest $4.99 Full Meal Deal. The new Catfish & 6-piece Butterfly Shrimp Meal features a piece of cooked-to-perfection catfish, which is hand-breaded in Captain D’s signature southern-style breading, and comes with six plump and tasty butterfly shrimp. Served with a choice of two sides and hushpuppies, the new Meal Deal is only available for a limited time through September 24. In addition to the new Catfish & Butterfly Shrimp Meal, Captain D’s has brought back its Grilled Alaskan Salmon Cakes and Cajun Steamed Shrimp, available in 12- or 24-count.

Coupled with its menu diversification and expanded array of offerings, Captain D’s credits its new restaurant beach design with contributing to the brand’s compounding success. To date, nearly 60 percent of all restaurants have been reimaged to the brand’s new vibrant, coastal design, with another 50 locations to be remodeled by the end of this year.
