The Cereal Bowl opened its first Washington, D.C., location on Tuesday, March 23. The official grand opening will take place Saturday, March 27, between 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The location will be the fourth by the Florida–based Company and the first of several new D.C. area locations scheduled to open over the next few years.
The company currently has more than 30 new stores under development both domestically and internationally.
The companies first international store will open in Qatar later this year as part of a partnership with Doha based Global Brands LLC.
The 1,500-square-foot café will be serving cold and hot cereals from morning to night, where customers will be able to make their own mix from dozens of cereal choices and more than 40 toppings ranging from fresh fruits and nuts to candy and granola. The Cereal Bowl also features a unique menu section called “Beyond the Bowl,” which is devoted to cereal outside the bowl. Oatmeal smoothies known as Oaties, Parfaits, Cereal Frozen Yogurt, and the company’s line of Semi-Serious Coffee drinks are all part of the “Beyond the Bowl” menus section.
“Cleveland Park is is a terrific fit for The Cereal Bowl, and we have been thrilled to see the response from the community as we have been preparing to open,” CEO Kenneth Rader says. “People seem to have really fallen in love with the concept and want to know when we will bringing it to their community.”
Since opening the door to its first café in Miami, the Company has received more than 3,000 franchise requests and currently has more than 30 stores under development.
