Checkers Appoints CFO

    Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHKR) today announced the appointment of its new Chief Financial Officer, David Koehler. Mr. Koehler brings to Checkers over 17 years of experience in Accounting, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, and Information Technology. Previously he was Vice President of Finance at Pinnacle Towers, one of the country's five largest wireless telecommunication space providers. While at Pinnacle, he successfully helped raise $550 million in debt and equity facilities and provided oversight to over 115 acquisitions. Having investment banking with Cragie Incorporated and previous Chief Financial Officer experience, Mr. Koehler also brings experience from PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young's audit and consulting practice. Mr. Koehler matriculated from Old Dominion University with three majors: Accounting, Finance and Management Information Systems and is a Certified Public Accountant.
