Chandra Brown, general manager of the Checkers in Carol City, Florida, has been awarded a 2001 Ford Focus automobile in Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc.’s “You Gotta Drive to be a Winner!” contest, part of the company’s 2001 Manager Incentive Program.

The 2001 Managers Incentive Program is a yearlong effort to promote food quality, customer service, and sales performance among the more than 850 Checkers and Rally’s Hamburgers nationwide.

President and CEO Daniel Dorsch commented: “Checkers/Rallys is, once again, properly focused on operating high-quality, customer-friendly restaurants. Our current Managers Incentive Program promotes exactly that message to our customers, franchisees, and employees throughout the country. We are winning again in our segment, thanks to the efforts of our General Managers throughout the system—they are the people who daily deliver the great food experience our customers expect. I was pleased to personally present to Chandra Brown the first of the 16 vehicles to be awarded under this program.”

“You Gotta Be a Winner!” is a yearlong competition, which recognizes stores that make the most dramatic improvement in sales performance during each sales period. A 2001 Ford Focus is awarded each sales period from the fifty top restaurants. At the end of the year, a random drawing from all qualifiers that have not won yet will award an additional four Ford Escapes.
