Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHKR – News), the nation’s largest double drive-thru chain, won the 2005 Stevie(TM) Award for Best Human Resources Organization on June 6th at the 3rd Annual American Business Awards(SM) in New York City.

The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. Donald Trump was at the awards ceremony where he addressed attendees from many different areas of the national business community and received the Lifetime Achievement Stevie Award.

Checkers®/Rally’s® was also named 2005 Finalist in four other categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best Franchisee, and Best TV Ad Campaign. In 2004, Steven Cohen, senior vice president of human resources at Checkers/Rally’s, won the Stevie Award for Best HR Executive.
