Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHKR) today reported that after 13 months of testing technology solutions for its 853 restaurants system-wide, that it has placed an initial order for its 149 company restaurants to be installed within the next 90 days. The NCR 7454 POS machines and software from Aloha with special programming for Checkers/Rally’s was selected to enhance the drive-thru systems speed, accuracy and accountability.

“We worked as quickly as time would permit to insure we made the right decisions with our technology choices,” says Adam Noyes, Checkers vice president of company operations. “We selected the NCR 7454 because of its proven easy touch screen technology, speed of processing, and durability for the restaurant environment that we operate within—extremely important considerations for our concept of double drive-thru restaurants.”
