Following multiple successful collaborations with chef Ilan Hall, Dog Haus has made their longstanding relationship official, naming him the Culinary Wingman.
Hall has garnered acclaim as the Top Chef Season Two winner, host of Knife Fight on the Esquire Network, and culinary mind behind Ramen Hood in Downtown Los Angeles. At Dog Haus, Hall will apply his culinary expertise to elevate menu items across the board, including their gourmet hot dogs, sausages and burgers, at all locations across the country.
“Ilan has been an incredible friend and partner of ours in the past, and we’re thrilled to make him an official member of the Dog Haus family,” says Hagop Giragossian, Dog Haus Partner. “We are confident Ilan will be an instrumental part in Dog Haus’ future and we look forward to seeing his culinary vision come to life.”
Joining the Dog Haus team alongside Würstmacher (sausage maker) Adam Gertler, the two will work hand-in-hand to develop inventive menu items, while continuously working to better Dog Haus staples. Hall and Gertler have already proven to be a dynamic duo, creating the Naughty Dog, a limited time offering made to promote Seth Rogen’s Sausage Party, and the current offering, the Huli-Huli, a Hawaiian-inspired chicken and pork sausage with sweet ginger glaze, bouillonnaise, pineapple and jalapeño relish, crispy fried onions and scallions. Additionally, Hall has individually demonstrated his culinary prowess with the Bad Mutha Clucka, a beer battered fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, pickles and miso ranch, now a menu fixture and fan-favorite.
“Having the opportunity to work with such an innovative and growing brand like Dog Haus has been a highlight in my career, but I am now especially excited to take on the role as Culinary Wingman and become a more permanent member of the team,” says Chef Ilan Hall. “Over the past few months, I have been recipe testing new sauces, toppings and combinations, which will be coming soon to locations nationwide.”
