Chick-fil-A’s Chicken Tortilla Soup Back for Limited Time

    Industry News | January 2, 2013

Last year, Chick-fil-A customers couldn’t get enough of the chain’s take on a Southwestern, spice-infused Chicken Tortilla Soup. Back by popular demand, Chick-fil-A’s Chicken Tortilla Soup will be available in restaurants nationwide from January 2 through March 31.

Chick-fil-A’s Chicken Tortilla Soup is made with shredded boneless breast of chicken, corn, and navy and black beans in a white creamy base with a blend of vegetables and a variety of spices. Topped with seasoned corn tortilla strips, the soup is a warm, hearty option for a lunch or dinner meal during the winter months. The limited-time soup complements Chick-fil-A’s Hearty Breast of Chicken Soup, which is available year-round.

Chicken Tortilla Soup will be available in medium (8-ounce) and large (16-ounce) servings starting at $3.65 and $5.99, respectively. Furthering the option for a low calorie and healthful meal at Chick-fil-A, a medium serving contains only 260 calories and six grams of fat.

“Our Chicken Tortilla Soup introduction was a tremendous success last year; in fact, we couldn’t even keep a supply in the restaurant because customer demand was so high,” says David Farmer, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of product strategy and development. “Last year was the first time we introduced a limited-time product other than our seasonal milkshake flavors, so the success we enjoyed proved how much our customers value seasonal and flavor options on our menu.”
