Chick N Max – a budding fast casual chain specializing in chef-crafted sandwiches, almond wood smoked chicken and wings, and golden fried tenders – has promoted Brenda Elpers to Senior Vice President of Operations.
A Wichita native and University of Kansas alum, Elpers first joined Chick N Max in November 2022 as Vice President of Business Development, at which time she was charged with overseeing all elements of the brand’s lead generation. In her new role, Elpers is responsible for overall restaurant operations, strategic planning, and franchise support.
“As we continue to grow, it made perfect sense for us to promote Brenda and give her a bigger role to ensure that we are consistent in all aspects of our brand,” says Chick N Max founder and CEO Max Sheets. “Her extensive operations experience and dedication to our brand make her the perfect fit for this role.”
Prior to joining Chick N Max, Elpers served in various business and franchise development roles for several brands, including Smashburger, Growler USA, Camp Bow Wow and Mathnasium.
“This is an incredible opportunity with a remarkable brand,” says Elpers. “There is so much excitement around Chick N Max right now – from the dedicated corporate team and franchisees to the extremely passionate customers. I look forward to further driving the brand’s operational success and continue to accelerate its long-term expansion.”
Elpers’ promotion comes at a time when Chick N Max is gearing up to further expand with existing and new franchisees and looking to nearly double its national footprint. Thanks to an active franchise pipeline that stands at more than 50 restaurants, the company expects to open as many as 3-5 new restaurants this year and at least that many each year thereafter.
