The Cojak Restaurant Group currently owns and operates 10 restaurant locations with Another Broken Egg Café, a breakfast, brunch and lunch franchise. The team was on a search for another business venture that was unique, but also compliment the ambiance of their current restaurants. Jake Alleman had his first taste of Chicken Salad Chick at the Destin, Florida, restaurant in 2015 and immediately saw the growth potential with the restaurant concept. After meeting with Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick, he realized the culture and service of the brand was a perfect fit for the ownership group. The Cojak Restaurant Group, with 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry, will introduce a dose of Southern hospitality to their hometown of Louisiana with the first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant in the market.

“As a Louisiana resident myself and a veteran of the food service industry, we’re eager to bring Chicken Salad Chick’s southern style, exceptional customer service and fresh, homemade recipes into the New Orleans market,” says Alleman, Mandeville Chicken Salad Chick franchisee. “We’re thrilled to be beginning this partnership and look forward to delivering an exceptional dining experience to Mandeville and local residents in the area for many years to come.”

The Chicken Salad Chick concept, born in Auburn, Alabama, was established in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. When Stacy discovered that the local county health department would not allow her to continue making and selling her delicious recipes out of her home kitchen, she overcame that obstacle by launching her first restaurant with the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant, which quickly grew; the company now has more than 65 restaurants across the Southeast.
