The Chickery, the Washington, DC-based “better chicken” franchise, has signed a new franchising deal for the Palo Alto market. The new location will be the first on the west coast for the fast-growing concept. The restaurant will be located at 3850 El Camino Real Palo Alto, California.

Opened in 2012 in Toronto, Canada, The Chickery is a category leading “better chicken” concept which focuses on healthy and indulgent menu options using both rotisserie and fried chicken. The Chickery focuses on providing customers quality chicken in a comfortable and modern environment to enjoy their tasty chicken.  The Chickery opened another location in 2016 in Washington, D.C. and has since moved its headquarters to Washington, D.C.

The new location will serve The Chickery’s newest menu item, Rotisserie Fried Chicken (RFC) along with their full menu which includes their award-winning chicken fingers, rotisserie chicken, and an assortment of salads, sandwiches and gourmet sides. Over half of The Chickery’s business is done off premises, through catering and delivery partners, and the new location is well suited to serve the homes and business in the greater Palo Alto area.

The Chickery has partnered with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of restaurant brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries, QDOBA, The Halal Guys, and Slapfish, to support their expansion growth.

“We’re very excited to be bringing The Chickery to The San Francisco Bay Area,” says Dan Rowe, CEO of Fransmart. “This is a great opportunity to serve more people better chicken. The Chickery offers customers a great dining experience with chef-inspired meals and fresh, juicy, never frozen chicken at an affordable price. There is something on the menu for everyone and expanding further in the U.S. is very exciting.”
