Orlando ice cream fans are celebrating because Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream (Chill-N), the made-to-order nitrogen ice cream pioneer, announced that it will be opening its second Orlando area location on April 20th in Lake Nona at 13887 Narcoossee Rd. The shop is located just off the intersection of Narcoossee Rd. and Laureate Blvd. and in the Eagle Creek shopping plaza. Chill-N is the ideal spot for dessert, a snack, an after-school treat, a catered event, or just when you’re in the mood for the creamiest ice cream around. The new Chill-N is owned and operated by local resident and small business entrepreneur Chris Wirth, who also owns a second Chill-N in Winter Park.
“This is an incredible and amazing day for ice cream fans in Orlando!” says Wirth. “We’re finally open and serving our Lake Nona friends, neighbors, and visitors the absolute best ice cream in the world. The flavor and texture our unique nitrogen process gives our ice cream turns it into something smoother and creamier than you’ve ever tasted before. And the technology we implement allows us to create ice cream from scratch in seconds while putting on an incredible show for our guests. Come try it for yourself on Saturday, February 10th when we’ll be giving away free scoops all day long during our grand opening.”
As part of its grand opening celebration on Saturday, April 20th Chill-N Lake Nona will be giving away free small ice creams with two Mix-N’s from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (limit one free ice cream per guest).
Here’s how Chill-N works: customers choose a portion size, then an ice cream base (milk, yogurt, sorbet, no sugar added, or alt-milk option – coconut, almond, or oat) and then one of 20+ rotating flavors, including seasonal options. Then the fun begins with the addition of Mix-N’s: premium toppings including candies, cookies and cereal, fresh fruit, sauces, nuts, and more. Each scoop of ice cream is hand-crafted to order, and flash frozen on the spot using liquid nitrogen at a startling negative 320° Fahrenheit. Chill-N’s unique freezing process results in a fresh ice cream that is ridiculously rich and decadently creamy.
“Hospitality and fun are in our DNA,” said David Leonardo, CEO of Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream. “We love ice cream and putting a smile on everyone’s face that walks through our doors. We’re going to be a big part of the Lake Nona community for a long time to come. Our new shop in Lake Nona is incredible and Chris is an amazing owner and operator. Please stop in, say hello. You won’t regret it.”
Since opening its first location in the Village of Pinecrest in Miami more than 10 years ago, Chill-N has developed a cult-like following and was even voted Best Ice Cream in Miami by Miami New Times. The brand now has 15 locations throughout Florida, Texas, and Tennessee, and will enter its fourth and fifth states later this year with the opening of new shops in Bluffton, South Carolina, and New Jersey.
The new Lake Nona Chill-N is open Sun. – Thurs. from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Fri. – Sat. from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. To contact the store or order online, visit chilln.com. Follow on Instagram at @chilln.orlando.
