In celebration of teachers, faculty and school staff, Chipotle will be offering a buy-one-get-one on National Teacher Appreciation Day, Tuesday, May 7. Eligible educators and school staff can receive a free burrito, burrito bowl, salad or order of tacos with the purchase of another menu item of equal or greater value. The promotion is valid at all U.S. Chipotle locations from 3 p.m. to close.
Chipotle has been a long-time supporter of educators everywhere. The company aims to cultivate a better world, not just through food, but also by empowering people through education. Chipotle has offered educational benefits to all employees to help prepare them for careers both with and beyond Chipotle since 2015. These benefits include providing employees with up to $5,250 per year in tuition reimbursement, applicable to any accredited college or university course, job certification program or trade school. In 2018 alone, Chipotle employees received over $10 million in tuition assistance. Chipotle also offers an option for General Education Development and English as a Second Language education to employees’ families which includes parents, spouses, siblings, domestic partners, and dependents.
“Chipotle believes that cultivating a better world begins with education,” says Laurie Schalow, Chief Corporate Reputation Officer at Chipotle. “Our annual Teacher’s Day BOGO is just one token of appreciation we have for all the educators across the nation.”
The BOGO offer is valid for educators and staff at all levels, including pre-school, elementary, middle and high school, university and homeschooling parents who present valid identification recognizing them as staff or support. It is available for in-restaurant orders only and is not valid for online, mobile or catering. There is a limit of one free entrée item per eligible customer with the purchase of an entrée item of equal or greater value. The BOGO is available in conjunction with a Chipotle Rewards redemption, but cannot otherwise be combined with other offers or promotions. The offer is also void where prohibited and additional restrictions may apply.
