Following a successful event that fed about 250 homeless in the Atlanta area, Church’s Chicken is now doubling down on its partnership with little Austin Perine—the 4-year-old ‘superhero’ whose #ShowLove campaign to help end hunger among the homeless has captured the hearts of people across the country. On Friday, July 6, Church’s and Austin’s dad, TJ Perine will be working to spread awareness and grow support for #ShowLove and the many people it serves.

Church’s will donate $1 to the #ShowLove campaign on National Fried Chicken Day (up to a maximum total donation of $10,000), for every guest that shares their story about giving back to their community on social media by tagging #ShowLove and #ChurchsChicken. Church’s donation will go directly towards food and volunteer coordination for #ShowLove homeless feeding events throughout the country.

“Feeding those people in our communities who often go without is a noble cause, but no one can do it alone,” says Hector Munoz, EVP and Global Chief Marketing Officer for Church’s. “The more people we can get involved with taking the #ShowLove spirit into their own neighborhoods and cities, the greater impact we can make.”

Austin’s dad, TJ, agrees. “If he could, Austin would go anywhere and everywhere for the opportunity to hand someone a chicken meal and make them smile. Whatever any of us do that helps our less-fortunate neighbors makes a real difference in the lives of those people and in the places that we live. That’s what #ShowLove is all about.”
