CiCi’s Pizza has announced the launch of its new Bacon Cheddar pizza. Available after February 22, 2000 in 328 locations, the new pizza is part of the company’s ongoing effort to combine value and quality.

Made with bacon, whole milk cheddar cheese and white sauce, the new Bacon Cheddar pizza was reportedly successful in test markets and exceeded sales projections. Company officials anticipate consumption of the new Bacon Cheddar pizza to reach one-half million pies per month. The restaurant’s all-you-can-eat for $2.99 concept continues to attract value-conscious consumers.

Founded in 1985 by Joe Croce, CiCi’s Pizza has grown steadily at the $3 price point. The company’s founder says it co- exists with larger national pizza retailers because CiCi’s has carved a unique niche in a crowded restaurant industry. “We are serving the vast majority of our guests with our sit-down, all-you-can-eat buffet. The majority of sales at other national pizza chains are derived from delivery and take-out,” said Mr. Croce.

The new Bacon Cheddar pizza also launches CiCi’s new marketing campaign, “Our pizza’s even better than the price.,” which debuts on radio and television during late February across 75 markets in 17 states. The campaign is designed to reiterate CiCi’s strategy of providing a quality product at a low price.
