CiCi's Pizza hired veteran restaurant marketing executive Sarah McAloon as chief marketing officer to lead the company’s brand revitalization initiative.

McAloon comes to CiCi’s from Sbarro LLC, where she served as chief marketing officer and was responsible for creating the global marketing strategy for more than 1,000 eateries in 40 countries. She also launched the fast-casual pizza concept Pizza Cucinova. In 2014, McAloon was recognized by Brand Innovators as one of America's Top 50 Women Innovators for her work.

Prior to joining Sbarro, McAloon was at Yum! Brands, where she headed up national marketing and media for Pizza Hut Inc. She also launched the successful WingStreet brand.

“Sarah has an entrepreneurial spirit that brings creativity and new perspectives to our team as we work with our franchisees to revitalize and reinvent the CiCi’s brand,” says CiCi’s Pizza CEO Darin Harris. “She is a talented and innovative leader with the kind of experience that will help our team achieve its goals.”

McAloon, a British-born, recently naturalized U.S. citizen, holds a master’s degree in marketing management from Middlesex University in London, and a bachelor’s degree from University of Sunderland in the North East of England. She has held marketing positions in the U.K. at Whitbread PLC, Diageo, and Pizza Hut.
