City Barbeque, known for its award-winning smoked meats, scratch-made sides, and indulgent desserts, has added two new healthy limited-time offerings to the menu: the classic Southern barbeque dish Brunswick Stew, and a fresh Southwest Slaw.

“While our Brunswick Stew doesn’t have rabbit or squirrel, it’s still a delicious homage to a barbeque classic, and an item we’re really proud of,” says Brian Hipsher, VP of Marketing for City Barbeque. “Our guests have been asking for more healthy options, and while our award-winning smoked meats are already healthy, we’re always excited to add new nutritious ‘que to our menu.” City Barbeque’s Brunswick Stew features beef brisket, pulled pork, and smoked turkey, as well as homemade chicken stock, sweet corn, carrots, black beans, and more. This protein-packed stew is 130 calories for a side (for $2.79), 240 calories for a bowl ($5.49).

City Barbeque’s healthy, house-made Southwest Slaw is another new side option. This fresh slaw features superfood greens, sweet corn, black beans, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, red onions, and fresh, hand-diced jalapeño in a cilantro lime vinaigrette. Guests can get a side of Southwest Slaw for $2.79 (90 calories), or pick up a pint or quart to take to fall’s first potluck.

These two new items are available at all City Barbeque locations, but only for a limited time.
