‘bibigo,’ a global brand created by CJ CheilJedang, Korea’s No. 1 lifestyle company, is set to become the go-to for Korean food in the U.S. as their innovative dishes and delicious combinations have made it an immersive dining experience. Following their Genesis Open success, bibigo will be offering their finger-food specialties at this year’s Players Championship, March 12–17, with a special media tasting event on March 12 at 2:30 pm.
“The Players Championship affords us the opportunity to continue to grow ‘bibigo’ into a global brand representing CJ,” says Eun-kyung Sohn, CJ Marketing Executive. “As the only Korean concession sponsor of the PGA, our mission is to lead Korean food globalization by using ‘bibigo’ to tout the excellence and legitimacy of Korean food in the US and around the world.”
Located in Palm Valley Village, CJ bibigo’s Players Championship concession will feature traditional grab-and-go style food items with a modern twist. Attendees will be able to taste bibigo’s exclusive menu showcasing snacks that are inspired by Korean flavors – offering a Korean spin on American favorites, including the world-famous Bibi-Cone, Korean Fried Chicken Bites, Korean Galbi Tacos, Crispy Mandu, Yuzu Mint Punch and Cheese Wonton Fries.
CJ has also organized fan-signing events. The first will take place at the concession booth on March 13 at 2:30 pm with affiliated golfers Si-Woo Kim and Ben An. In addition, a snack sampling + autograph session with a cap giveaway with golfers Sung Jae Im and Sung Kang will take place on March 14 at 3:00 pm at the Volunteer Village.
CJ ‘s official sponsorship of the Players Championship provided an opportunity to promote ‘bibigo’ around the world. Additional PGA tour sponsorships this year include the US Open in June and the 3M Open in July.
