Component Hardware Group, Inc. announced the acquisition of the hardware and related business of Food Service Parts (FSP) (a.k.a. John S Dull and Associates) located in Garden Grove, California. For years, FSP has been the leading supplier of Component Hardware Group's branded parts to the commercial foodservice and plumbing markets throughout the western regions of the United States.

Under the terms of the acquisition, the company will continue to service all current FSP foodservice customers with the full array of quality parts and components they have come to expect, while providing expanded coverage to the OEMs, fabricators, and wholesales plumbers in the western region of the U.S.

In conjunction with the acquisition, Jim Whithorne, president of FSP, announced he will continue operating the remaining enterprises of John S. Dull and Associates and says "the sale of FSP to Component Hardware Group has provided a truly win-win situation for the customers we have dedicated ourselves to serving over the years, as well as to our employees."

Harry Franze, president and CEO of Component Hardware Group, comments that "it has been apparent for quite some time that bringing us together with the team Jim had built would provide Component Hardware Group with a great growth platform in one of our key North American markets." The new company will be known as Component Hardware Group West (CHG West).

As the company prepares for a seamless transition of the business, CHG West will continued to be headquartered at the Garden Grove, CA facility.

"Early in 2017, however, we will be moving to a new facility that will effectively double our warehousing operations and allow for easier access to customers in the western U.S.," Franze says.

"The acquisition of Food Service Parts further strengthens our leadership position in the foodservice hardware and commercial plumbing markets in North America," adds Ed Whartnaby, executive vice president, sales & marketing, of Component Hardware Group. "We will be able to provide our customers west of the Rockies with a broader array of products with the same high quality and local customer service support that they have come to expect."
