CorFire, the mobile commerce business of SK C&C USA and a leader in mobile commerce technology, announced a strategic business partnership with OLO), a digital commerce engine for restaurants.
OLO’s digital point-of-sale platform allows multiunit restaurant chains, mainly in the quick-service category, the ability to offer mobile and online ordering.
Using the OLO platform restaurant chains can update menus, menu items, and pricing across their entire network or at selected locations, all in real time.
CorFire brings more than a decade of real-world, in-market experience in mobile commerce. CorFire technology drives more than 30 million mobile transactions each and every day.
By leveraging these technologies and expertise, CorFire and OLO will create feature-rich mobile applications that allow the company to move beyond mobile and online ordering and into more sophisticated mobile commerce functionality.
As a result, leading multiunit chains will now be able to take advantage of all the benefits of mobile commerce. From more efficient and accurate ordering and payment transactions to the ability to distribute promotional and loyalty driving offers, these applications will enable the chains to improve service delivery, reduce labor costs, and increase customer engagement.
Chains will now have access to a deep level of customer purchase and behavioral data from which to make more informed business decisions.
"This partnership creates synergy between two of the leading mobile commerce companies to offer a full suite of services: mobile ordering, mobile local offers, mobile payment, mobile gifting, mobile loyalty, and mobile social check-ins," says OLO founder and CEO Noah Glass. “Instead of requiring separate mobile apps for mobile payment and mobile ordering, this integration will provide brands with a one-stop shop for all forms of mobile customer engagement through the industry’s proven, best-of-breed providers.”
Sang Yook, chief strategy officer of CorFire, says, “[Quick serves] and other restaurant chains are constantly seeking new ways to improve speed of service, increase average ticket size, reduce transactional costs, and build loyalty thru more sophisticated customer engagements. By combining their technologies, OLO and CorFire are making the promise of mobile commerce a reality for [quick serves].”
