Corner Bakery Continues Nat'l Expansion to Indianapolis

Corner Bakery Café announced that the company has signed a new multiunit development agreement to open its first restaurants in Indianapolis beginning later this year and the remaining sites over the next six years.

The new franchisee joins a roster of 27 franchise partners, with 53 open cafés and development commitments for more than 300 more, as Corner Bakery Café continues on its goal to more than double its U.S. footprint in the next three years. Last month, the company announced plans to open nine new restaurants in the Central Valley, California, area.

Currently, the growing fast-casual chain is also looking to expand to new markets in Alabama, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee, among others. “We’re excited about this great news regarding our latest development agreement, expanding the reach of our signature neighborhood bakery café experience into new markets like Indianapolis,” says Gregg Koffler, vice president of franchise sales for Corner Bakery Café. “Neighborhoods are an important part of the Indianapolis community, and we are confident that our cafes will quickly become a local favorite in this new market. Indiana is the perfect place to continue our expansion plans as the brand looks to numerous new territories and create even more fans.”

Corner Bakery Café’s made-to-order menu features hot breakfast scramblers, signature panini sandwiches, homemade soups, hand-tossed salads, pastas, and sweets, while providing a place to gather with family and friends. With more than 160 company-owned and franchised locations in 17 states and Washington, D.C., Corner Bakery Café provides a robust catering platform, presenting food packaged for delivery or pick up.
