Corner Bakery Cafe announced its seventh year of partnership with Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry to help end childhood hunger in America.

From September 1 to September 28, Corner Bakery Cafe will offer rewards to guests who contribute to the cause. Guests who donate $1 or more to No Kid Hungry will receive a free freshly baked Whoopee Pie on their next visit, and those who donate $5 or more will receive a booklet of offers valued at more than $25.

“Every year it’s heartwarming to see our staff and guests rally behind this important cause and raise money to end childhood hunger,” says Diana Hovey, chief marketing officer at Corner Bakery Cafe. “We expect to raise $300,000 this year for a total of $1.5 million in contributions to Share Our Strength thanks to the generosity and support of our loyal guests.”

Earlier this summer, Corner Bakery Cafe kicked off its support for No Kid Hungry with a fundraiser for summer meals programs. The restaurant brand invited teachers in Washington, D.C., and Chicago aboard double-decker “Crave Cruisers” for a day of fun, food, and giving back to children. Corner Bakery Cafe and the teachers visited Share Our Strength–affiliated summer meals sites and donated $1,000 to each location. As part of that fundraiser, a portion of the proceeds from every Lemon Whoopee Pie, Frozen Lemonade, and Blueberry Lemonade Baby Bundt sold from July through September will go toward No Kid Hungry.

Since 2007, Corner Bakery Cafe has raised more than $1.2 million for Share Our Strength. For every dollar it receives, Share Our Strength connects 10 meals to children facing hunger in America.
