Cousins Subs fed more than 9,000 event participants at the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s 2nd Annual Soles for Catholic Education Walk on Saturday, October 25.
As an event sponsor, Cousins Subs provided more than 9,000 sub samples and cookies to alumni, students, parents, and supporters of Catholic education.
“At Cousins Subs, we believe education is a vital component to improving the general welfare and quality of life of the children in our communities,” says Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs. “Every child deserves access to an education that equips them with the tools needed to succeed, and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee is working each and every day to ‘Make It Better’ for those with limited access.”
The Soles for Catholic Education Walk aims to raise awareness of the benefits of Catholic education and to help make Catholic education affordable for all children throughout southeastern Wisconsin. 100 percent of pledges raised by walkers went directly to the school of their choice. Participants also had the opportunity to donate gently used shoes for distribution to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
“Partners like Cousins Subs understand the importance of high quality education for individuals and for society,” says Dr. Kathleen Cepelka, superintendent, Archdiocese of Milwaukee Catholic schools.“With their support, we hope to continue this Walk and the more than 170 year tradition of Catholic education in southeastern Wisconsin.”
