Cousins Subs to debut limited-edition “Big Cheese” sub exclusively at Summerfest 2017. 

A nod to Wisconsin and cheese lovers everywhere, Cousins’ “Big Cheese” sub taps into the vibrant heritage of ‘America’s Dairyland.’ Featuring chicken or steak fresh off the grill topped with bacon, sautéed onions, Wisconsin cheddar cheese, sharp cheese sauce made locally and the sub shop’s Wisconsin Cheese Curds, the “Big Cheese” is packed with flavor for the legendary “Big Gig.”

“This June marks Cousins’ 45 years of serving Wisconsinites, and we wanted to bring festival goers a sub rich in local flavor that is both commemorative of our heritage and unique for Summerfest’s 50th,” says Justin McCoy, vp of marketing at Cousins Subs. “We encourage everyone to sink their teeth into indulgence and celebrate all that makes Wisconsin’s food culture iconic.”

Those looking to enjoy the “Big Cheese” fresh off the grill, can visit the Cousins Subs concession located in the Miller Lite Oasis across from the stage. Cousins Subs encourages fans to share their love of the “Big Cheese” on social media by using #BIGCHEESIN.

Cousins will also sell a select variety of its deli-fresh and grilled to order subs made with chicken or steak as well as fries and Wisconsin Cheese Curds.

“Summerfest is Milwaukee’s signature summer festival and a long running partner of Cousins Subs,” says McCoy. “The festival gives us an opportunity to bring our signature subs to the masses from the greater Milwaukee area, Wisconsin and beyond over the course of the 11-day event. As a Milwaukee and Wisconsin institution, it’s only fitting for us to continue to support and partner with Summerfest.”
