Crazy Bowls & Wraps is a fast-casual restaurant that has been serving up fresh, fast, bowls, wraps  and salads for two decades—committed to clean eating long before it was a buzzword in the restaurant industry. Crazy Bowls & Wraps also just unveiled its summer menu, featuring the new Mediterranean Watermelon Salad, made with mixed greens, mint, watermelon, red onion, feta, olive oil and fresh lime juice.

The St. Louis–based chain is opening its second of four planned restaurants in Greater Cincinnati. Crazy Bowls & Wraps opened its first restaurant on Kenwood Road in Blue Ash last December. The company is looking at additional locations in Anderson Township and Hyde Park. Crazy Bowls & Wraps also operates 15 locations in the greater St. Louis area.

The Crazy Bowls and Wraps menu uses a build-your-own concept: choose your vessel (bowl, wrap or salad), choose your grain (brown or jasmine rice, organic quinoa or non-grain: spiral-cut carrots and zucchini) and choose a protein (grilled or crunchy antibiotic-free chicken, organic tofu or wild Alaskan salmon). Then, top it with specialty house-made sauces and seasonal vegetables and voilà: fast food that’s fresh, delicious and good for you.

Crazy Bowls & Wraps was founded by Gail and Keith Kitsis in 1994 in the St. Louis metro area. The restaurant served kale to customers as early as 1997, and focuses on bringing sustainable, healthy food packed full of fresh flavor to diners. Crazy Bowls & Wraps operates 17 stores in two markets, employing more than 300 people, all of whom are crazy about the idea that nutritious food can be fast and accessible even when it’s made from scratch.
