The Midwest-based Culver’s restaurant chain known for its ButterBurgers and fresh frozen custard opened its 685th restaurant in Foley, Alabama; the first in the state.

Franchisees Curtis and Amanda Herbig, owned and operated Culver’s in Newton, Iowa before falling in love with the greater Foley and Gulf Shores area.

Culver’s, which was founded in Sauk City, WI in 1984, is on track to open seven more restaurants before the end of the year; bringing the total number of 2018 openings to 48.

For over 30 years, Culver’s guests have been treated to cooked-to-order food made with farm-fresh ingredients and served with a smile. The ever-expanding franchise system now numbers more than 680 family-owned and operated restaurants in 25 states.
