Culver’s® has joined an elite group of firms singled out for special recognition by the American Red Cross for special thanks because of their support. Culver’s was recently recognized with the Circle of Humanitarian Award from the Red Cross for the substantial support the company and its franchise partners provided in 2007. By being so honored, Culver’s joins a group of Midwest leaders such as Allstate Insurance, Anheuser-Busch, Deere and Company, and General Mills, among others.

“Our Culver’s owners work regularly with their local chapters. Together, they have brought smiles to many faces of those in need. Anytime we help our neighbors, it helps the entire community. The Red Cross partnership is a cornerstone to our Culver’s Cares program and we look forward to solid growth within that partnership,” stated Lea Culver, co-founders of Culver’s and a volunteer with her local Red Cross chapter.

“Having a corporate partner as generous as Culver’s has a big impact on people in need,” said Roger Dahl, Service Area Executive, Midwest Service Area, for the American Red Cross. “We sincerely thank Culver’s for all they do over the year to assist local Red Cross chapters across the country.”

In conjunction with National Red Cross Month, Culver’s® more than 370 participating restaurants in 16 states donated 10 percent of sales on Wednesday, March 5, to local American Red Cross® chapters during a second annual system-wide “Day of Giving” fundraising event. Guests enhanced the total Red Cross contribution by giving personal donations in canisters available at each Culver’s throughout the week. The fundraising goal was met for the year and the two-year total exceeds a $348,000 donation.
