Culver’s latest addition to its Pub Burger program capitalizes on two trending ingredients: the pretzel bun and pickled vegetables. The Pretzel Haus Pub Burger will be available in restaurants beginning April 2 for a limited time.
Soft pretzels are making a comeback with consumers, and the Pretzel Haus Pub Burger takes advantage of their infatuation with salty chewiness. The bun has the taste, texture, and aroma of a freshly baked pretzel. Like all of Culver’s ButterBurgers, the bun is lightly buttered and toasted.
Pickled vegetables are gaining prominence on restaurant menus, and the pickled onions that adorn the Pretzel Haus Pub Burger are pickled right in Culver’s restaurants. They provide the right amount of tang and crunch to cut through the creaminess of the bistro sauce—a horseradish-and-mustard mayo—and Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Sauce that also tops the burger.
The Pretzel Haus Pub Burger is completed with fresh, never frozen, 100 percent Midwestern beef and smoky bacon.
“Our Pub Burger program allows us to introduce new ingredients to our guests, and the Pretzel Haus Pub Burger is no exception,” says Julie Fussner, vice president of marketing at Culver’s. “From the chewy pretzel bun to the creamy bistro sauce and tangy pickled onions, this burger incorporates flavors that our guests haven’t seen on our menu before.”
The Pretzel Haus Pub Burger will be available at Culver’s restaurants until May 27, or while supplies last.
